Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how AquaRK Title Services collects, uses, and protects the personal information you share with us. It applies to information collected through our website at aquarktitle.com and through the closing services we provide.
Information we collect
When you contact us, request a quote, or work with us on a real estate closing, we collect information that is necessary to provide title and closing services. That includes your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, Social Security number, date of birth, financial account information, wire transfer instructions, and copies of identification documents. We may also collect property information including the address, parcel identification, and prior recorded documents. When you visit our website we collect standard analytics information including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time on site through Google Analytics.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to perform the title and closing services you have requested. That includes running the title search, issuing title insurance policies, preparing closing documents, holding and disbursing escrow funds, coordinating with lenders and real estate agents, and recording documents with the county. We also use your information to comply with federal and state requirements that apply to real estate closings, including identity verification, Bank Secrecy Act reporting, and tax reporting obligations.
How we share your information
We share your information with the parties involved in your real estate closing. That includes title insurance underwriters, lenders, real estate agents, surveyors, municipal lien search providers, HOA management companies, and county recording offices. We share information with these parties only to the extent necessary to complete your closing. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
How we protect your information
We follow ALTA Best Practices for information security, including encrypted email for sensitive communications, secure file storage, multi factor authentication on systems that handle personal information, and verification procedures for wire transfer instructions. If you receive any email or call claiming to be from us with new wire instructions, hang up and call our office at (850) 650-9737 to verify before sending funds. Wire fraud in real estate closings is common and we take steps to prevent it on every file.
